Still, the game is very enjoyable, and is probably worth buying just to experience the flashy graphics and unique fusion of strategy and hack-and-slash. There's also a certain amount of grinding tha t may or may not be necessary to progress once "late-game" hits (I don't actually know for sure, as I haven't gotten to that point yet), which, compounded with the fact that the game likely starts to become stale after a couple dozen hours of play, might be a turn-off to some people. The game looks great, with so many soldiers or creatures all tossed in the air simultaneously, but you can expect the frame rate to slow down considerably to process all of this action. Fire Emblem Warriors Clash with legions of enemies as Marth, Xander, Corrin, Chrom, and other Fire Emblem warriors by unleashing over-the-top-powerful Dynasty Warriors-style moves in the action. The story is rather lacking in terms of real depth and development, which didn't surprise me much. Familiar Fire Emblem characters look more mature in this Dynasty Warriors-influenced battle game, and will be exciting to use in these kinds of large-scale battles. Of course, the game is not without its flaws. The gameplay is definitely the most enjoyable part- the aforementioned graphics are exciting the Weapon Triangle, type advantage/disadvantages, and Pair Up system add an excellent strategy element to what would be just a kill-everything fighting game and the ability to switch between and command characters adds more mulitasking and strategy to the mix. I've never really played Fire Emblem, so I didn't really know the characters much outside of Super Smash Bros, but I was instantly hooked on the smooth character designs and flashy fighting sequences. Unlock new playable heroes, each with their own unique moves, special attacks, weapon types, and voiced dialogue in this large-scale action game from the Hyrule Warriors team. Awesome game- a few flaws, but overall great (must buy for Fire Emblem fans!)īought this game on a whim, was not disappointed.
